to steal a line from a movie, i am a pleasure delayer. when i get emails i really want to read, i will sometimes set them aside or go somewhere quiet and read them. i am currently watching a movie and, because i am really enjoying it, i am finding reasons to pause it and extend the moments left. make dinner, watch tv, clean up, shower, write this. all reasons to pause it and step away with a bit of it left. i even considered starting it from the beginning even though i have 30min left.
and i was thinking in the shower that maybe this is why i stopped reading fiction. i get too tied up in characters and stories and don't want things to end. maybe. probably not.
