this year i actually got cranky about some gifts that i received. the short story is that i felt as though i put a lot of thought and effort into searching out the right gifts for others and they are unique and not something they would generally pick up for themselves. and it seemed like that was not the case with the other side of the exchange.

i'm not pleased with my reaction. something else to work on.
