i was watching a show just now and a guy was trying on a coat, and for some reason it struck me odd that we have to try things on and experience them to know if they fit or if we like whatever, or whoever, it is. objectively a 42R coat on the rack should fit precisely like the one hanging over the chair in your house. but it never does. every coat is different. every plate of food. it is all relative to you and the moment and everything that came before and everything you were expecting. nothing is ever the same and i'm too complacent to notice that.
