i find comparing people to be not very beneficial. for the most part people just don't line up easily and even if they did, comparing them is rarely fair.

and yet, a peril of age may just be that when you meet someone that you inevitably find yourself thinking, she's no ____. when it happens unconsciously is when i find it most troubling because i did not deliberately concoct an equation to produce this result. some part of my head did it, all on its own, in the background. and damn if it isn't right.

it's getting hard to be someone
