to continue the theme, sort of, i very much enjoy sleeping in freshly laundered bedding. even more if the sheets are crisp. but i'm not ironing mine, and i don't think they're that sort anyway.

and i really really do not understand why auctioneers talk the way they do. is it supposed to be enticing? because it is not 1904, this is not a world's fair, and you are not selling "doctor hoover's fantastical wonder powder" for the scant price of a shilling and sixpence. i've seen art auctions. they talk normally there.

and yes, picky social scientists, compared to hillbilly auctioneer speak, there is a normal.
