first, it is almost infinitely more appropriate for me to drive away from a child's bike accident (laughing) than it would be for me to stop and try to help. [i should note here that i inadvertently caused the wreck between the two kids, and it was minor, and i did laugh as i drove away..]

second, a child of approximately eight years of age, pushing a slightly undersized red shopping cart down the middle of the street, upon hearing my car's approach turned and stared at me - agape - as if i were in the wrong place..
