[edit: after having said all that i said below at the time to the left, i've been up, and felt like redesigning [if you can even call this, that,] and now it's 5.46a, and i'm actually dead. no. really.]

there've [maybe] been five or six moments during my entire life when i've been more tired. i have no idea why that is so. i had six hours of sleep last night, which is an average night for me, plus my hour long nap this afternoon. [to prove how tired i was, it was down to getting only some of the best chinese food anywhere [with an entirely empty stomach, of course], or sleep for an hour before another class. and i slept.] saying i have no clue now isn't very amazing, as i'm having trouble keeping up with comma splices and brackets, but i couldn't figure it out earlier when i was less tired either.

driving around in the car i've hired until mine is out of the shop [today or friday supposedly], i've been thinking only of being able to drive around in my car with the windows down. of course, i'll have no music to listen to while doing so, not even public radio news programs. this disheartens me greatly. i'd still rather have my silver, bestickered little sedan, as i'm none too fond of what they've given me, but i'm growing very weary of riding around in silence. [it's pissing me right off.] i think it may be the first time i've really wanted to get a few new cds and listen to them, as well as a few i have, since all things musical were nicked.

and if i dug deep i may be able to replace what was taken, but maybe half the quality, at best [which isn't worth it, being a poor student], only to probably have it all nicked again, and i'm buggered if i'm going to keep giving away money and stereos.

[tara: my philosophy prof. would be perfect for scott. seriously. not sure why i'm making mention, i just couldn't help thinking that for most of the class.]

there are a lot of things bugging me about my country lately, mostly stupidity and hypocrisy. i wasn't going to launch into them, being the time that it is, and that i'm so tired. but i've decided i must. first off, this "tax-break" which is the fucking size of canada [second largest country [sq. km and not pop. of course] in the world, and our much smarter neighbor to the north] has eaten up the budget surplus that isn't as big as once projected, and should our economy continue to slip, may threaten programs if not trimmed. of course, good old president jr. bush can actually read pieces of paper given him [albeit pausing inappropriately in sentences, with two non-essential words left for instance] which he slurs through like a rural idiot savant. [minus the savant.] that's the stupidity, or part of it.

the other thing is our flag. from as early on in school as i can remember, they teach you that the flag is this great symbol of our country, and how it should be treated with all this respect, and there is always - or used to always be - a big fuss whenever someone burned a flag in protest, and there have been innumerable attempts to have it made law that you cannot do so. meanwhile i could count at least two dozen flags, in this city alone, that are either left up in the rain or in the dark [with no proper lighting], both of which, i've always been informed, are disrespectful. and it is used to advertise on television and roadside signs, as backgrounds for big sales and patterns for bathing suits. overexposure, in general and also, to disrespectful acts only proves that the dollar is more important than anything else. [see: tax cut possibly biting into social security funds.] also, the national anthem, why is it being sung before every professional sporting event? these are not the olympics, people ad-lib for extra applause, and, again, overexposure has dulled the meaning of that song so much, i guarantee half the population doesn't know the song, and probably doesn't care to. i understand that the american dream, getting paid millions of dollars to play something you enjoy, is best represented by people doing exactly that, and the anthem associates the states with it. i get it. i just don't get why it's thought people at sporting events really care about events that took place over two hundred years ago. [probably you should have some fresh and new [and i'd say 'hott' here, but that is obvious, eh?] pop star remix it, it'd sell millions.]

i should be asleep.

i want to be kissed.
